Mexican goalie 'Memo' is overnight sensation

It seems that overnight Mexico's world cup team goalie has gone from a virtual unknown to an internet superstar.

28-year-old Guillermo "Memo" Ochoa gave an amazing performance against Brazil in Mexico's second match of the tournament with a number of incredible saves. It's no surprise that he was instantly trending on Twitter. According to Twitter Reverb, there were nearly two million mentions of Ochoa during the Mexico/Brazil match.

Even after the game, the goalkeeper continued to keep the world's attention. One twitter compared Ochoa's ability to stop the ball midair to Neo from the Matrix. User @SupermanTweets photoshopped him to look like... well, Superman. But the greatest Memo meme has to the Gandalph-inspired, "You shall not pass."

More surprising than Ochoa's instant notoriety, the goalkeeper is a free agent as of July 1st, so he should expect to see offers flying in. But something tells me he'll be able to field them just fine.

He'll probably want to come to the USA to be closer to his countrymen.

............Stellar saves! I enjoyed watching that kid play. If he can keep up that pace, Mexico will do well.

Get off his nuts, it was one game, and they didn't win. If they advance because of this game, then give him all this attention.
