Landlord Gets Terrifying Surprise Left By Former Tenants

HOLBROOK (PIX11) - A couple was cleaning the basement of a recently-vacated unit when they received a heart-stopping surprise left by the previous tenants.

Peter Wang and his wife, both of Pond Path Holbrook, Long Island, peeked under the cushion of a couch and found more than just spare change. Instead, they were face-to-face with a three-foot-long Ball Python.

The Suffolk County ASPCA was called in to remove the snake. It turns out the python belonged to the previous tenant, who left it in the care of upstairs tenants when it escaped.

Ball Pythons are completely legal to own, and no charges were filed.
