The Amazing Mating Dance of the Galapagos Albatross

Phillip Nails was holidaying in the Galapagos Islands in June 2012 to celebrate his parents' 25th anniversary, when he came across an astounding sight. Amid fields of Galapagos Albatrosses, two emerged from the bushes and came within 25 feet of the tourists so they could show off their mating dance. The enthralling dance sees the large birds furiously clacking their beaks, advancing on each other, honking loudly and even locking jaws at points.

Bunch of inconsiderate perverts......the birds are doing their thing and the human voyeurs are chatting and giggling in the background. How tacky!!!!

What's the big whoop? Anyone watching nature programs on TV has seen this. Of course, I'd love to be able to go there to see it in person.

I enjoyed watching it, so woop yourself. However, I could have done without the stupid touristas who were unable to simply shut up and let the birds have the stage.

It is odd how humans who are supposed to be THE most sophisticated and intellectual beings on this planet are drawn to and enthralled by such voyeurism of other species mating yet can not tolerate the site of their own species mating. Perverts.

Because some people, like me, have never seen this before. I found it fascinating.
