Criminals given unusual sentences

Criminals Given Unusual Sentences

They say if you commit the crime, you gotta do the time. And sometimes that time is just a as creative as the crime. Last year, 32-year-old Shena Hardin was sentenced to two days of humiliation after she drove up on a sidewalk to avoid waiting behind a school bus in Cleveland. A judge ordered her to stand on the street corner and hold a sign that read, "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."

And a judge in Oklahoma didn't send a Tyler Alread to jail after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Nope. Instead, he told him he could stay the clink if he went to church for 10 years. Talk about forgiveness...

And this boy in Moscow who insists he's only 13 but he was tried as an adult...because of his penis. Doctors said he appeared to be 16 or 17 years old after examining his um...member...and sentenced him to jail for his crime.

Not sure why that deep investigation was necessary, but it was a good headline.

I don't have a problem with the sign one. She deserved it. But sentencing to be brainwashed by religion is a violation of the Constitution.

I remember hearing about the numbskull who drove on the sidewalk to avoid the school bus, but the others are a bit of a stretch...I can't believe that a judge (even in Oklahoma) would let a guy stay out of prison if he goes to church...soundds a bit fishy

TYPICAL "writing" from AOL.......

AND evidenced BY the "last line"......
" Not sure why that deep investigation was necessary, but it was a good headline. "

Considering THEY provided the LINK that provided THAT "answer"......... They STILL couldn't
comprehend WHY ??

The alleged "journalists" at AOL are about as SMART as my dog MYA (in the pic).....and SHE'S
........"dumb as dirt".........

Or a student that didn't pay attention in class and now blames every failure on someone else!

Sentencing a peson to attend religious services of any type seems like the type of mixing Church and State that you would expect to find in an Islamist nation. But then it is Oklahoma

And some day you will learn that you can and should mix church and state.
