3 Headlines That Dominated the Energy Sector Last Week

In this segment of "Where the Money Is", Taylor Muckerman and Joel South -- two of the Motley Fool's energy sector analysts -- discuss some big news items in the energy world.

First off, changes in Department of Energy regulation of liquefied natural gas, or LNG, exports could have big implications for some of the players in the energy field -- especially the smaller ones. At the same time, companies like Continental Resources are pushing to be allowed to export crude oil. They're not likely to succeed, but their reasoning can help shed some light on some of the trickier logistical problems facing the energy world today.

The biggest news item, however, may be a statement from Barclays on the future of the traditional energy sector and the forces threatening to shake it up.
