Beckham hints at possible comeback

Jun. 3, 2014 10:25 AM EDT

LONDON (AP) - David Beckham says he might come out of retirement and play soccer again.

The former England captain, who retired last year after a final stint at Paris Saint-Germain, said in a BBC documentary he had "a tough time" after hanging up his cleats and is tempted to come out of retirement.

The 39-year-old Beckham, who is trying to launch a Major League Soccer team and build a stadium in Miami, said "there's never been a player-owner, but maybe?"

Beckham traveled 800 miles into the Amazon rainforest for 12 days to make the documentary which will be broadcast on Monday.

You must all be jealous of his good looks, Millions of Dollars and his talent as a soccer player, I would like to see any of you play soccer at his level, at any age.

I am not even a great fan of his, but your comments are so dumb, that you ought to be ashamed, if you don't like someone or something, learn to walk away.

Oh, if you are a guy, I am sure you would love to have his wife by your side, but based on your comments, what do you think chances are!

He's more or less retired from soccer but his new mission is to defraud Miami out of millions of dollars to build a soccer stadium for a team no one wants or needs. If an MLS franchise in Miami is such a great idea, how come no one--Oh, wait, they did. Maimi had an MLS team until arounf 2003 when it folded and became a minor league team, currently either on hiatus or life support. No one's sure.
