'Vows': When you fall in love ... with your dentist

'Vows': Rebecca and Lee

Rebecca met Lee by making an appointment.

It was January, 2008. She said she had not seen a dentist in some time, and his office in Manhattan was across the street from the cosmetics packaging company where she worked at the time. It turned out she had several cavities and needed a root canal.

"I was there for about five months," she said. "Over that time we just became friendly, and I liked him, and I kind of guessed that he liked me."

At each appointment, Lee said, "we just talked about our families, our friends and just kind of clicked."

But Rebecca did not know if Lee was married or seeing someone, so in April of that year she took a chance: "I asked his receptionist if he was single." She said he was, and asked, " 'Isn't he so cute?' She might have been playing a little bit of a matchmaker."

After that, Rebecca took another chance. She had Lee's cellphone number because he had called to see how she was after the root canal.

"I texted him and invited him to come to a happy hour that my office was having," she said. "I had already referred a bunch of co-workers to him as patients, and he would know other people there."

After the happy hour, at a bar on Bleecker Street, they went to another bar and talked until late in the night.

They began going out after that, and the rest is history.

Nice that they clicked but I'm pretty sure its against dentist ethics to date clients.

Yes, its actually an offense dental boards take very seriously. And for good reason.

It seems to always happen to the younger gals. Even the senior men want the young ladies. Genuine sincerity with age is important as well. Many good looking ladies out there over 60.

I'm sure they're getting lots of looks from the 65-80 year old gents...

I knew a guy that picked on this girl and broke her tooth. She never got it fixed and years later she met him on blind date and so before the wedding since he was a dentist now he had to fix the tooth so she would look beautiful before the wedding

A very good example of why females may want to seek their mate. Maybe for far less divorces and more truth to the words "till death do we part"!
