Oprah's network postpones Sam documentary

Sam Documentary Series On OWN Postponed

The planned documentary by the Oprah Winfrey Network on Michael Sam, the NFL's first openly gay player, has been postponed.

Erik Logan, president of the network, said Friday that the postponement was made after meetings with the St. Louis Rams.

"After careful consideration and discussion with the St. Louis Rams, `The Untitled Michael Sam Project' has been postponed, allowing Michael the best opportunity to achieve his dream of making the team," Logan said in a statement.

"It's clear that we, along with the world, recognize the important opportunity that Michael now has in this moment. We will continue to support him in his journey to earn a spot playing for the Rams."

As a seventh-round draft pick, Sam will face hefty challenges just to make the Rams. Being the subject of a TV documentary could have been a major distraction for the defensive end from Missouri.

"This (postponement) will allow for Michael to have a total focus on football, and will ensure no distractions to his teammates," added Sam's agent, Cameron Weiss. "Everybody involved remains committed to this project and understands its historical importance as well as its positive message."

Does an injured vet have to kiss another injured vet to get assistance and attention from the media? Our real heroes are being ignored while tripe like this warrants all this fanfare. I'm sick of it!

Look at the media. All over the story of the gay freak playing football and the old white guy that MAY of said something about blacks. I feel better knowing that this class outfit is reporting all of the impoirtant stuff and not that silly stuff like the economy, Obamas lies and deceit.

The media will not stop. they have to keep pummelling and ramrodding this down everyone's throats until everyone realizes that they are right on what stance to take on any issue. because they know whats best for us all.

The guy is bound to file some type of discrimination suit. Doesn't matter how good or bad Sam is on the field. It's just how these homos operate. They claim to be tolerant but are the least tolerant of anyone.

He will no question about it. When he is shamed and exposed as a unfit player it will hurt the pervert agenda. Isn't that what you are afraid of?

Michael Sam may get all the political correctness world and maybe a hero to liberals but he still got a date ahead with Almighty God because of his unrepented sin of homosexuality. A country that does not believe in God will disagree with me.
But God Almighty will have the last word on all unrepented at the White Throne judgment seat where Jesus Christ is the judge.

This is absolutely sickening to hear all the hype about him being gay and following him around. The majority of us cares NOT about seeing this. WHY don't Miss Oprah follow a wounded soldier and see how he faces difficulty everyday getting around and his family's support. WHAT pray tell has happened to the USA when THIS makes headline news? I'm so disgusted.

I'm as American as anyone alive and yet I find myself discusted as well with our congress, "entertainment" and disregard for the men and women that keep US free. You are completely correct, Oprah would do the country that made her famous and rich by connecting with a cause that brings our vets problems to the forefront.
Thank you for your post

She is in sync with the WH. Besides no real money in it. The clowns are losing now. They have gone too far.
