Incredible mother-son wedding dance leaves guests surprised, floored

The 'Epic Mother-Son Wedding Dance' video was uploaded to YouTube back in March by ML Photo & Film, and since then it's become a viral sensation, racking up more than 1.4 million views. When you click play above, you'll see why. The mother and groom begin the typically staid tradition in very expected form -- by slow-dancing to Fleetwood Mac's '70s smash hit ballad, 'Landslide.' And just as you're about to nod off the way you usually do during these moments at weddings, mom and son explode into a fully choreographed dance routine set to hit songs from throughout the decades, like Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and Chubby Checker's 'The Twist' and *NSYNC's 'Bye Bye Bye, which leaves the wedding guests blown away. This mom and son just raised the bar big-time for every wedding party that comes in their wake. They'll be a tough act to follow.

This is the couple's day, not Mom's. I think it's horribly out of place.

I think this is incredibly selfish - he's not your little boy anymore Honey, you're not the star of the wedding. Let this one day be about your daughter-in-law. I once read some great advice from Abby, or Landers or some such to a future groom's mother who wasn't getting to include enough of her preferences in the wedding plans "the mother of the groom's job is to wear beige and shut up" words to live by. Please apologize to your daughter-in-law, and snip the umbilical cord. Otherwise you and your sweet little boy start choreographing a number to perform at his inevitable divorce hearing.

I know laws are constantly changing, but when did it become legal to marry your Mother ?

I wish people would stop criticizing so much, I'm sure the bride was allowed to accompany them on the honeymoon

I almost never comment on these things, but I am appalled by all the negative comments. A wedding is a celebration of the joining of the two families and it is traditional to have a mother son dance. Does this mean the young man is a Momma's Boy? Does the term Daddy's Girl have the same negative connotation? This bride is very lucky to have such a fun loving husband and mother-in-law that are obviously close. Not only does her new husband dance, but he also values family and is not afraid to express his love for them by adding surprises and joy to life. If I were the bride, I would have felt so lucky watching my new husband dancing like this with his mother that I had chosen a family oriented and fun-loving husband. These little joys are the things that get couples through the hard times. They are both very lucky!

Thank you, mother of the groom, for your input.

Mom was a show-off and upstaged the bride. This was supposed to be the bride's day to shine. Shame on you, Mama. I bet he's a mama's boy.

The dance went on toooooooo long. It might have been cute for about five minutes, but this was a freakin' production number. Tacky and tasteless.

Apparently you can't read the little time-clock when you click play, because it clearly states that it lasts for only two minutes and twenty-eight seconds. According to YOUR snarkiness, they still had 2 and a half minutes to go before it was no longer cute.

I think this was great; what a way to make a wonderful memory for everyone concerned.

Wow your comment sounds like someone who suffers from low self esteem or that of a
egotistical person.
Would you call the bride a daddy's girl with daddy issues if the video would have been of a father and daughter dance?

if i were the bride, i would be a tad worried that my new hubby is a mamas boy...and in his eyes mama will be able to do everything better then me...except in the bedroom, and hopefully that wont get old too soon..

good for them and it looks like everyone there was having a great time, so it doesn't really matter what the rest of us(outsiders) think or say about this video

look at the positive side...based on some of those moves ,if the marriage doesn't work out he could always try out for the Village People
