Two tornadoes rip through Missouri, no reported injuries

Two Tornadoes Rip Through Missouri, No Reported Injuries

Residents in parts of Missouri are cleaning up after at least two tornadoes touched down in the state Saturday, causing reports of serious damage.

"We have a large tornado on the ground causing damage. Large tornado on the ground causing damage. The roofs are coming off the tops of buildings right now."

That was video of a confirmed tornado that touched down in the town of Orrick, Missouri near Kansas City Saturday. KCTV reports while the tornado caused significant damage, there were no reports of any injuries or deaths.

"Everything was flying around down there. And so, you could just hear the house collapse above us, I figured nothing was left."

WDAF reports hundreds of homes were damaged in the small town of 800. Officials say about 80 percent of the town was wiped out as a result of Saturday's storm.

As The Kansas City Star points out, residents in Orrick say they had plenty of time to take shelter after the tornado sirens went off.

Another tornado touched down near the town of Marshall Saturday evening, According to KCTV, the storm destroyed barns in a rural area nearby.

Severe thunderstorms had already hit parts of the Midwest Sunday morning. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a small part of Missouri, along with parts of Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa face the best chance of severe storms for Sunday.

The Salvation Army has arrived in Orrick to give food and drinks to any people there who need it. So far, there are no estimates on the cost of the damage.

Tornadoes, leave these little towns alone and rip through the 1600 Penn. Ave White House instead while big time spender Obama and the big time spender's puppy follower Hillary are having a drink?

I feel bad about all that's going on in the world,God gave us such a beautiful paradise to live in,but we have made such a mess of things.Humans want to be Gods, but they have made such a mess of things that we will never have peace. They say money is the root of all evil and its so true, some people are not satisfied with what they have they want it all,and for what,?We are born with nothing and what you kill yourself for you cant take it with you.Stop hate, racism, and wishing bad on others just because they want a home and food for their families.I feel bad because of all the damage those tornadoes did to parts of our country, but I wont go as far as being happy it happened, like most of you did when it happened in Mexico. To all moms out there have a happy mothers day,and God help us all.....
