US Airways Flight Diverted After Crew Falls Ill

A US Airways flight from Venice to Philadelphia was diverted to Dublin after its crew fell sick mid-flight.
While crossing the Atlantic, seven of the nine crew members began complaining of nausea and dizziness. According to the Irish Mirror, a fume gas leak in the plane's galley is to blame.

Once on the ground, the plane was met with several emergency vehicles including fire trucks and ambulances.

According to Dublin Airport, the flight, number 715, was then taken to a remote location at the airport where the crew was examined by medical officials.

With the flight being immediately canceled upon landing, US Airways spokeswoman Michelle Mohr says the airline is now "re-accommodating [their] customers on other flights to Philadelphia."

The past few weeks have been rough for US Airways. Earlier this week, severe turbulence injured six on a flight to Orlando and in mid-April, the company's Twitter feed accidentally posted a pornographic tweet to more than 400,000 followers.

It must be the fish or the steak. Yes, yes, I remember I had the lasagna.

My first suspicion was that the crew tested the food to be served on the flight over. Seriously, the last time I flew the candy bars they handed out in lieu of lunch were older than I am, and I'm old.

And what is a "fume gas"? Sounds a bit redundant. Kinda like saying liquid water.

This stuff happens, any ignorant human who believes that the airline performed in a negligent manner needs to be educated by flogging. Pain, is the only way to correct a persons ignorance,

How soon until some shyster lawyer gets a hold of one of these passengers, and they sue for millions, because they were traumatized? Kind of like the Carnival passengers (33 of them) that are suing for $5000 a week for LIFE. They were stuck for a few days, in unpleasant circumstances. So that must equal a big payday. And we wonder why goods and services cost so much.

except that sometimes the lawyers do some good. You can thank lawyers and lawsuits for improving the safety of planes, forcing manufacturers from stopping the use of flammable products in children's clothes; forcing Ford to change location of its gas tanks on certain vehicles so that family's don't die in explosions; having roll over bars; and many many safety provisions. Oh and let's see what was that little problem that US Airways had? a GAS LEAK hmmm and if something had happened god forbid, who would make sure that the government investigated and the airlines made safety changes so that the next time your beautiful children boarded a plane it was safe. Granted Freddie there are some shysters in EVERY business, but "lawyers" --the good ones make a big difference in the safety of our products so that we don't have "gas leaks" on planes

You're kidding, ... good lawyers????????

I heard a rat and a lawyer were hit by cars and killed - on the same road - only a few hundred feet apart.

Police were puzzled because there were only skid marks in front of the rat ....

"We need to get these people to a hospital!" "What is it?" "It's a big building with a lot of doctors, but that's not important right now."

What the heck is a "Gas Fume Leak?" While they are at it, maybe they should check the blinker fluid and the muffler berrings.
