US Airways flight diverted after crew falls ill
A US Airways flight from Venice to Philadelphia was diverted to Dublin after its crew fell sick mid-flight.
While crossing the Atlantic, seven of the nine crew members began complaining of nausea and dizziness. According to the Irish Mirror, a fume gas leak in the plane's galley is to blame.
Once on the ground, the plane was met with several emergency vehicles including fire trucks and ambulances.
According to Dublin Airport, the flight, number 715, was then taken to a remote location at the airport where the crew was examined by medical officials.
With the flight being immediately canceled upon landing, US Airways spokeswoman Michelle Mohr says the airline is now "re-accommodating [their] customers on other flights to Philadelphia."
The past few weeks have been rough for US Airways. Earlier this week, severe turbulence injured six on a flight to Orlando and in mid-April, the company's Twitter feed accidentally posted a pornographic tweet to more than 400,000 followers.
