New 'Star Wars' film may have its title

'Star Wars: Episode VII' Reportedly Has A Working Title

The new Star Wars film may have its title. Since the first cast photo was released last week with what looks like scripts in their laps, we can only assume that one of those pages is the title page.

There has been a lot of speculation as to what JJ Abrams would call episode seven of the Star Wars saga, and MoviePilot is reporting that it will be called "The Order of the Jedi," and feature Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o as dark jedi Asajj Ventress. That rumor has not been confirmed or denied, and it should be pointed out that the character of Asajj is from Cartoon Network's "Clone Wars," which takes place between episodes two and three.

Today, Ain't It Cool News said that they have an unnamed source saying that the working title of the new film is "The Ancient Fear," a reference to the movie's villain, played by Max Von Sydow.

The title "The Ancient Fear" is reminiscent of Yoda's line about the path to the dark side from episode one, "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering."

Yeah, sorry to have to remind fans of "The Phantom Menace," but it's an interesting thought to have episode seven be "The Ancient Fear," eight to be "The Ancient Anger," nine to be The Ancient Hate," and episode ten to be "The Ancient Suffering." Still, this is all just speculation.

I'm not sure we NEED an 'Episode 7' of Srar Wars. 4, 5 qand 6 (FIRST THREE) were good. Special Effects outstanding for the day. 1, 2 and 3 did nothing for me. Probably me, but then... And a NEW one? Does it pick up following Empire? How do they plan on explaining the AGE progression of the characters? Actors do not remain forever 18 years old. Makeup helps, but it's NOT a cureall. Soimething fresh and new is in order. Most folks today are hard pressed to identify the theme music, let alone identify or identify WITH the characters.

the new one is set 30 years in the future so the original actors would have aged appropriately.

Episod 7 would follow The Return of the Jedi, because that was episode 6. You explain the age progression with time progression.

I'm shocked, with their so called black star, it should be called "12 Years Too Long a Jedi."

I saw NOAH. Why didn't the critics, TV ads, etc mention the Transformer Rock People that made a good story a farce?! NOAH sucked--I got my money back halfway! I saw Tom Hanks in what was advertised on TV as a happy movie--it stunk too and was a depressing bore! OK, Star Wars people--Special effects are so common today--SO--How about this idea? MAKE A GREAT PLOT, STORYLINE, AND SOME THRILLING EXCITING SCENES! If you do that-Movie will knock it out of the park (Universe) and be up there with the first 3 Star Wars Movies.

You think too logical. You forget, you're dealing with Hollywood. They have replaced good stories and good acting with SFX and animation.

You mean like these dandified full length cartoons, at $8 a ticket; or, English majors writing their doctorates on the merits of "graphic novels" ( comic books ); or, padding a failing GPA with a language credit prerequisite in Klingon ( UT Austin - a school the football team can be proud of ) ?

I'm sad that John McCain isn't in this film.
He would make a good evil war lord.

There is only one possible selection for the evil war lord: Dick Cheney
