'Deadliest Catch': 800-lb. swinging pot nearly takes out two men

On "Deadliest Catch," a massive arctic storm hit the Bering Sea, forcing everyone to work together just to stay alive.

Axel, the captain's nephew and one of the crewman, struggled to keep control of an 800-pound pot used to catch King Crab. With 25-foot swells and hurricane-like conditions, losing control of the pot put himself and his crewmates in serious danger.

When Axel wasn't able to grab the pot with both hands, he said it just got too rough, and he lost control to the wave, just trying not to end anyone's life. Luckily, everyone survived.

Fans on Twitter were loving the drama and close calls -- some fans calling it their favorite show on television.

The executive producer explained to Zap2It why fans love the show so much -- it's probably the most real 'reality' show.

"Reality TV, which by its very nature -- camera crews, lights, producers, etc. -- can't exactly reflect the way reality is when it isn't being filmed ... The thing about our show is, it's probably the only reality show that's just reality."
