'Tattoo Nightmares': Woman Accidentally Got Saddam Hussein Tattoo

'Tattoo Nightmares': Woman Accidentally Got Saddam Hussein Tattoo
On "Tattoo Nightmares," Kayla's tattoo was supposed to be a tribute to her late father. Instead, her family shunned her for it.

The tattoo looked more like Saddam Hussein than her father. She would get dirty looks on the street, and people telling her to go back to her country ... even though she's from the United States. She also said she burst into tears when she first saw it. Luckily, Tommy came to the rescue and made Kayla's dream of having a tattoo of her father come true. He fixed the tattoo and brought Kayla to tears (of joy).

Fans on Twitter were impressed with Tommy's tattooing skills -- calling Kayla's new tattoo unbelievable.

And Facebook fans agreed -- the thought Tommy's work was "sick" and the most amazing cover they'd ever seen.

Prepare for the influx of comments ignoring the heartwarming content of the video and focusing instead on the apparent "trashiness" of getting a tattoo... even though tattoos are mainstream now, and that stereotype won't really exist within the next few years.

Then again, this is the comment section of a news site, so casual stupidity is to be expected.

Yes, even from me.

On frequent trips to the veterans hospital, I have seen 60-70 year old men sporting tatoos they had gotten when the were in their early teens-20,s.

Picture "lava lamps" blobs of ink shoved under their skin that have migrated far from their original design

If your going to get a tattoo, go to someone who is good at it. Don't skimp on the cost. You usually get what you pay for. Remember, this is on you for life. Make sure you make the right decisions. From what your getting, to where your getting it done at. Look at their portfolio. And never be in a rush to get it done. Scout a few places, sleep on it, then check other places.

No matter what your personal view about the wearer of a tattoo, one thing you should remind yourself of before degrading the art form is it is as ancient as "humankind" and has survived all of this time in almost every culture....(and if you look in a history book back to "pre-civilized, civilization", that's a VERY long time!) This should only affirm there is a "need" in our species for this form of expression whether this need be healing, coping, identifying, a right of passage or yes...just plain old "fashion".

Wow I watched the show last night, now don't get me wrong, I know some great tattoo artist ,but last night Tommy knocked it out of the park by covering up a portrait with a portrait. Now I know some of you would say it was of the same person so whats the big deal. Well the big deal is it is the hardest thing to do , you could always put an all black cover up over it but to take something that jacked up and turn it to art good on you mate Tommy you are the best.

I was at a kids birthday party and one of the guest's mother was there. She was a young lady of about 30yrs old. She was complaining of not being able to find a job and having to live in a friends garage without electricity. She was coveered with tats from he neck to her feet and was talking about the next one she was going to get if she could save enough money while her and her little boy lived in poverty.
