Dad wasn't happy about TSA pat-downs for children

A perturbed father recorded TSA agents as they patted down his children, ages 2 and 6. A male agent patted down the little boy while a female agent patted down the older girl.

'The TSA saying it was necessary because the kids came in contact with their dad after he had already been selected for a security check.'

The father says the TSA gave the pat downs in a "rude manner," though the video shows the TSA agents weren't using any sort of force. Instead, they were heard talking gently to the children and explaining what they were doing. One agent even said the 6-year-old girl was "so sweet."

But negative reactions have still been appearing in social media, and a debate over the TSA's actions (predictably) turned nasty in the YouTube comments.

It's not clear exactly where or when the patdown took place, although the video was uploaded April 18. The father's name has not been released, but he mentioned in his YouTube post that he's normally singled out because of it.

According to TravelersToday, the TSA says it has modified the screening procedures for kids younger than 12 in an attempt to reduce "the likelihood of a pat-down."

"The TSA supposedly changed its policy for patting down children in 2011 following an incident in which a video showed a 6-year-old girl getting a full-body pat down by a TSA officer in New Orleans."

The YouTube video has gotten more than 53,000 views since it was posted.
