All of a sudden, the second pick in the NFL Draft has become a hotter topic than the first selection.

Not many expect St. Louis to select a quarterback, but according to Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network, there is "legitimate interest" between the Rams and Texas A&M signal-caller Johnny Manziel.

"Take what you will with this, but this is out there," Jeremiah said via Bryan Fischer on NFL.com. "(NFL personnel) are saying there's legitimate interest between the Rams and Johnny Manziel. There's at least buzz in personnel circles saying do not rule out Johnny Manziel to St. Louis."

The Rams, who hold both the second and 13th overall picks, could go a number of directions -- considering they already possess a starting quarterback in Sam Bradford. St. Louis took the former Oklahoma standout first overall in 2010.

"I don't know if that's a scenario where he drops all the way to 13 or if they will have the guts to take him with the second overall pick," Jeremiah said. "I'm just telling you that's out there, and some people believe it's a real possibility."

Manziel completed 300 of 429 passes for 4,114 yards with 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season.
