Twin boys fight off carjacker

Twin Boys Fight Off Carjacker

A carjacker took off with 7-year-old twins and a 1-year-old baby in San Antonio -- but he didn't get far.

"Mom says she went back into the house to get a baby bottle, and some guy jumped in her car with her twins and her 1-year-old," HLN reports.

The man reportedly drove the kids nearly ten miles across town before he gave up because of the twins' courageous actions.

"The twins attacked the suspect. Kicking him and beating him with a toy snake."

Although the boys' mother was reluctant to buy the toy snake, she told TXCN, "I guess God knew he was going to use it today."

"He could've pushed them out of the car. He could've been very mean, and I thank God that at least he put that in his heart to get them out of the car."

The mom saw the man walking up the street while she was running back inside the house to grab a bottle.

According to WOAI, the suspect smiled at her and she smiled back ... and while she was in her house, the man drove off with her kids.

The San Antonio Police chief spoke highly of the twins' actions. "Those two little boys reacted very courageously by trying to fight this guy off."

The kids were unharmed and were safely reunited with their family. WOAI says the police are still looking for the suspect.

It is certainly quite telling in all those negatives hitting the wise advice given by various posters, pertaining to never leaving children unattended in unlocked vehicles. That makes children easy prey, not only for carjackers, but the worst of murders and molesters - human predators preying on children. Amazing how many people anonymously admit they refuse to take personal responsibility for their own personal irresponsible behavior, particularly as parents.

So did the guy put the kids out on the street and drive off in the car and if so, how did the kids get back home from 10 miles away? Or did the guy ditch the car with the kids in it and get out and walk himself? Is the car still missing? Shoddy reporting.

I sure hope mom realizes that you never run back into your house, leaving your kids in the car, unlocked and apparently with the keys in the ignition -- ESPECIALLY if some strange man is walking your way. Not to diss mom because we all make mistakes, but holy smokes - she might as well have invited the guy to do what he did by completely ignoring the danger posed and leaving her kids wide open for the taking with a stranger walking down the street.

A bad seed comes in all colors it is how they were grown. Plenty of love or plenty of neglect and abuse. Sometimes it is just a Bad seed period.

I wouldn't trust my kids in a running car. I know they'd carjack-it themselves.

Wow. THAT is f-ing scary. Whatever those little boys had for breakfast that morning. They should be eating it everyday. :)

I'm not a fan of people leaving kids in cars, but this car was in the driveway of their home, so I am not going to say "bad mother" this time. It's unfortunate that some idiot decided that stealing a car was a great idea. But I love those two little boys.

No need to brow beat her at all. She was in her own driveway.

Really, it does not matter. It is against the law in Colorado to leave your car running in your own driveway, let alone with kids in it. With this happening every where you should think twice. I think the mom should be charged.

You do not know a thing about motherhood. She just went in for a minute to grab a bottle for the baby. She was in her own driveway. She did what any other person would do. One does not think about car jacking in ones driveway
