Alabama School Celebrates 'Twinsday'

An elementary school in Montgomery, Ala. has SO many sets of twins, the school decided to hold a special get-together just for them. HLN reports that there are a whopping 12 sets at T.S. Morris Elementary

But seriously - what is in their water? WSFA points out there's at least one set of twins in nearly every grade at the school.

"The school has two sets of twins in kindergarten, two sets in first grade, three sets in second grade, one set in third grade and a whopping four sets in the fifth grade." The station adds that the birth rate for twins has risen about 75 percent nationwide since 1980.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were more than 130,000 twins born in the U.S. in 2012 alone.

And it looks like the number of twins at the school will grow in the next few years. One of the moms who already has twins attending the school says she's expecting another set of twins in a few months.
