School has whopping 12 sets of twins

Alabama School Celebrates 'Twinsday'

An elementary school in Montgomery, Ala. has SO many sets of twins, the school decided to hold a special get-together just for them. HLN reports that there are a whopping 12 sets at T.S. Morris Elementary

But seriously - what is in their water? WSFA points out there's at least one set of twins in nearly every grade at the school.

"The school has two sets of twins in kindergarten, two sets in first grade, three sets in second grade, one set in third grade and a whopping four sets in the fifth grade." The station adds that the birth rate for twins has risen about 75 percent nationwide since 1980.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were more than 130,000 twins born in the U.S. in 2012 alone.

And it looks like the number of twins at the school will grow in the next few years. One of the moms who already has twins attending the school says she's expecting another set of twins in a few months.

Oh my stars people !!! It has nothing to do with the actual water ! It's a saying, as in " must be in the water " I can't believe so many people are asking what has it got to do with the water . Seriously ? It's just a saying....

They are sooo cute. It's pretty obvious that medical science is the reason behind a higher survival rate for twin pregnanacies.

THE MULTIPLE BIRTHS COULD ALSO BE THE RESULT OF GENETICS. ALTHOUGH HAVING THAT MANY FAMILIES WITH MULTIPLE BIRTH GENES IN ONE AREA IS ASTOUNDING TO SAY THE LEAST!

There's no big surprise at the rise in multiple births. Many women are waiting until they're older to have kids and a lot of starved themselves into not producing eggs. They need help getting pregnant and that almost always means twins or triplets. Of course there are some people that have them naturally and that's amazing and wonderful but twins have been on the rise for years now. Just look at Hollywood! Every woman who starved themselves for years ended up having trouble getting pregnant and turned to IVF. They always implant more than one fetus so twins are almost a given.
