Dog Turns Out To Be Culprit Behind Slashed Tires

Dog Turns Out To Be Culprit Behind Slashed Tires

The mystery over who has been slashing tires in a Brampton, Cumbria, neighborhood has been solved. And, no, it wasn't some punk teenagers. ABC reports:

"This is Jess the border collie, who apparently just loves to bite into rubber. So much so, she's punctured the tires of 11 cars in recent weeks."

BBC says a resident set up a CCTV camera and caught the pooch red-pawed. "Apparently it was run over about 18 months ago, and it seems to have a thing against cars."

Hey, we'd probably have it out for cars, too. Daily Mirror reports at first, Cumbria police kindly opted to keep the owners' names anonymous - you know, so they wouldn't be too embarrassed by their misbehaving pup.

"But he has offered to reimburse any car owners for the damage to their vehicles."

But we now know Jess' owners are Jean and Edward Morgan. Daily Mail says upon first reports, officers were confused as to who was behind the tire deflation.

"After spending six months and countless hours studying CCTV police got the lead when it transpired that Jess had been using her daily walk to bite the two nearside tires of cars she came across - causing slow punctures and flat tires by morning."

Jess' owners have promised to keep her on a leash from here on out. And we also suggest some rubbery chew toys.

I had a boxer/rottie mix that punctured the tire of a Ford F250. He LOVED when the UPS guy showed up lol

Dang dog probably been chasing cars and biting tires when it was run over by a driver, most likely intentional. This is a hard habit to break for dogs. The owners have a real problem on their hands.

I put my dog on a leash when we go outside. It keeps her and everyone else out of harms way.

Please, leash your dog. He's already been hit once, why take a chance on it happening again! Oh, and no rubber toys - how's he going to know the difference between his toys and the tires?
