WATCH: Students pull off epic prank on professor

WATCH: Students Pull Off Epic Prank on Professor

One professor's rule was used against him to make for one hilarious April Fool's prank. The "Today" show has the video.

'One professor there has a rule that if your cell phone rings in class, if you're a student, you've got to answer the call, you've got to put it on speaker phone.'

'Hi, this is Kevin from the pregnancy resource center. Per your request I'm calling to inform you that the test results have come back positive, congratulations!'

The YouTube video continues:

'Okay, you might want to shut that down.'
'I want to publicly apologize.'
'I already know what I'm going to name the baby. The first name will be 'April' and the middle name will be 'Fools.''

After the joke was revealed, the professor told his students, 'You can't understand the internal relief.'

Looks like that little rule of his came back to bite him. The prank took place during a macroeconomics class at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Although it wasn't posted to YouTube until April 5, it's being called the best April Fools' prank of 2014.

YouTube commenters agreed, one saying, 'Love it! You'd think these kids were professionals.'

We certainly agree. Bravo, Aquinas students!

PEOPLE just stop it. this video wasnt to say it was a teen pregant or that the teacher was doing the student. the students knew the rule for the class and decided to use to to do a joke on the teacher is all. the used the pregancy line because it would be embaressing for the student and thus causing the teacher to be embarressed she had to share it with the class due to his rule. it didnt mean he was embarressed because he was having sex with the student. why do people have to always go to the worse conclusion in everything. it sounds like the students like this teacher and that he likes his students and they felt they could play this joke on him and he wouldnt be upset with them and would laught with them about it. this is the type of teacher who cares about the kids he teaching. it shows because they felt comfortable to do this in his class. i thought it was a cute april fools joke and even if you didnt like it there is no reason to start going off on assuming that he is having sex with the young lady or that she is really pregant

Unfortunately, reading some of these comments, it appears that there are a large number of people posting that have reading (and listening) comprehension problems.

I think its a great rule. If you are paying to be in a class and it gets interrupted by calls, its wasting your time and your money. A little respect for your teacher and your classmates is not a bad thing!

April 1.
This is the day upon which many are reminded of what they are on the other three hundred and sixty-four days.

What's wrong with being a bit less connected? Try going a day with only 2 voice calls, no texts, no IM's, no face book or anything else. You might be amazed how wonderful not being connected can be.

It should be the considerate thing to do - to place your phone on silent for class. No matter what. If you're expecting an important call, just check it from time to time it and leave the class when you return the call. Otherwise, have a tip jar on teachers desk and when a phone goes off, it's two dollars for the jar. At the end of the week, the money collected goes to an on campus student organization of the class choice. I'm a Rotarian and that's our rule at Rotary Club meetings.

LOL. Lesson: Never make rules for others that leaves you vulnerable.
