Prince George in shorts! The royal family touches down in New Zealand
The royal tour is under way! William, Kate and George have touched down in New Zealand to begin their 3-week-long tour down under. The young royals were first spotted when they landed in Sydney earlier today as they transitioned to a flight that would take them to NZ.
As they stepped off the plane in Wellington, Kate was wearing a gorgeous long red coat by Catherine Walker (with dozens of buttons down the front) and a Gina Foster hat. She completed the look with a silver fern brooch borrowed from the Queen, and black pumps. But of course Prince George stole the show -- looking positively adorable in a cream sweater and shorts!
Kate's red coat and hat echoed that of Princess Diana's, which she wore in March 1984 with Prince Charles while visiting Leicester, England.
It's a right royal way to kick off the tour, and they looked happy as can be as they walked along the tarmac in New Zealand. Click through the gallery above for more pictures of the precious Prince, who did quite a good job at his first photo-op!
