It's been quite a week for David Ortiz.

Boston's veteran slugger was lucky enough to snap a quick selfie with Barack Obama on Tuesday, when the Red Sox presented the president with a No. 44 Red Sox jersey.

Two days later, MLB.com announced Big Papi –- the 2013 World Series MVP –- was the offseason's hottest-selling jersey, ahead of teammate Dustin Pedroia and New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina came in at fourth, while Los Angeles Dodgers' Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw was fifth.

Several other young players cracked the list, as Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen and San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey rounded out the top seven.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Mariners' big free agent acquisition, second baseman Robinson Cano, followed New York Mets third baseman David Wright, who came in eighth. Baltimore Orioles rising star Manny Machado was a surprising addition to the top 10.
