Skier Follows Path Leading Off Cliff and Lives

Hey, adventurers! This is for you. "Fox & Friends" explains that a path less traveled isn't always the right way to go.

'A man following someone else's ski path in Colorado ends up falling off a cliff!'

This accident happened at the Telluride Ski Resort in Colorado. It's unclear if the skier was on a restricted path, or skiing in freestyle terrain, but, believe it or not, he lived. He walked away with minor injuries.

Telluride Ski Patrol mentioned on its Facebook page that after the big fall, the skier only suffered from a small shoulder injury and was in good spirits.

What a lucky man! To keep mishaps like these from happening, the resort provides a lot of rules and precautions to help keep everyone safe, including the 'Your Responsibility Code' which includes this helpful tip: 'Be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce.'

Ain't that the truth! As Telluride's Ski Patrol puts it, "Know before you go!"

Open terrain, off trail = assumption of risk. I've skied down worse and survived.

THERE was never a first skier , this is a classic MAN TRAP set by the local bears , they used some skies they had from one of last years catches , and made the tracks very carefully , wasnt high enough tho ? the dont like to make the man suffer , they try to get a clean kill ? or else they get complaints from the hippie earth huggin bears about human cruelty .....

I was the first skier and I STOMPED IT! I mean I landed it and skied away. If this was in-bounds there would have most likely have been a sign stating "cliff area". Dude should've did a little homework.

He cushioned the fall of the second skier, of course.
