Sheriff's office bans Arias defense aide from jail

Boyfriend Slaying

PHOENIX (AP) - A member of Jodi Arias' defense team is banned from the jail in Phoenix where Arias is being held until her murder case's penalty phase starts in September.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says mitigation specialist Maria De La Rosa is banned from its jails because she recently took a drawing by Arias out of the jail.

The Sheriff's Office says the drawing is contraband and that De La Rosa cannot deliver things for Arias, who was convicted in May of first-degree murder in the 2008 killing of her boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

De La Rosa attorney Dan Raynak tells The Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/PLL6gt ) that the ban is outrageous and that she only handled legal material.

Arias attorney Jennifer Willmott says the drawing was of potential use in Arias' mitigation case.

Don't waste your time Ron. The bloodthirsty trolls are the ones screaming about Sharia Law coming to this country because of Obama yet would have Arias taken out back and stoned to death.

Outrageous? De La Rosa is a criminal herself for doing favors for an incarcerated inmate. Appears she`s becoming a little familiar with a felon And, Jennifer Willmott is a liar.

Liars and thieves! -- they're everywhere! Imagine, walking out of a prison with a drawing! She probably eats babies for breakfast.

Wow....I wish they would just lock her up and throw away the key. I am really sick of hearing about that lying murderess. She is a horrible person, any funds that she may get should go directly to Travis Alexander's family.

well now, more money that she can't pay?? she should have been sentenced by now, don't you think that going on almost six years is enough time for everyone to say enough all ready. I thought there was a law no inmate in jail or prison is allowed to profit from the crime and how about restitution to to the family? If they determines death penalty that she'll appeal and if its prison time she'll get credit for the jail time? Talk about foolish spending. Who they going to get for jury? Doubt that most persons selected will admit to any knowledge of previous exposure to the news
coverage of the original trial..
