Drummond leaves game with neck injury

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Detroit center Andre Drummond left the Pistons' game Saturday night against Indiana because of a neck injury.

Drummond fell to the ground with 6:32 remaining in the first quarter, after he appeared to be hit in the head inadvertently by Roy Hibbert of the Pacers during a scramble near the basket. Drummond stayed down through an entire timeout, and a stretcher was eventually brought onto the court. But he was able to get up and walk off toward the tunnel with some assistance.

The Pistons said Drummond will not return to the game and will undergo further testing.

Drummond entered the game averaging 13.3 points and 12.9 rebounds on the season. He was shooting 62 percent from the field.

NBA stinks, too many fouls, let them play the game until there is something really worth blowing the whistle. and I don't get it !! On March Madness and college hoops. Guys hanging on rims, pumping thier chests,, Get into hockey people,, its a way better game and the players work hard and have come a long way to make it, They play with heart... BASKETBALL BLOWS...

Yet another AOL headline writer who either can't read or doesn't bother to. "Drummond leaves game on a stretcher."
Don't bother to fire these people. Just keep looking like incompetent amateur journalists.

Hope the big guy is OK. I still watch some games, but the NBA, for the most part, has become boring. Although it's like watching grass grow, I rather watch MLB, which will start soon. Golf too, which is like watching grass grow slower!

I would hate to be the people carrying the stretcher if BIG ANDRE hadn't walked off the court on his own.

That's what he gets for messing with Jennette McCurdy.

Inadvertently I hope so. Isn't that's the second star player knocked out of a game in less then a month by the Pacers? Hope he's ok.
