Triplets were ready to look different ...

Ken Paves' Triplet Makeover

Ken Paves has earned a reputation as one of the hottest hairdressers in Hollywood, with A-list celebrity clients that include Eva Longoria, Megan Fox, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and more. However, his hairstyle tips aren't exclusive to the stars.

Recently, Ken made over identical triplets – Kylie, Megan and Lisa – at his chic, cottage-inspired Beverly Hills salon. "This is my first time ever making over triplets, so my whole goal is to make them incredibly unique and individual, so nobody mistakes them anymore," Ken says.

Though nearly indistinguishable in appearance, the three sisters differ significantly in personality.

To get a better feel of which hairstyle suited each sister best, Ken spent some time asking them questions before beginning the makeovers. "One has a little bit more of the earthy, organic vibe. Another one is a little bit more glamorous and playful, and then the other one has an inner rock star," Ken says.

Kylie, Megan and Lisa expressed their initial reservations about undergoing the dramatic transformations on their blog, Traveling Triplets; however, when the makeovers were complete, they wrote, "Ken and his colorists Lisa, Christina, and Ana did an absolutely amazing job at making us feel and look beautiful, inside and out. We couldn't have asked for a better and more fun experience. They made us feel gorgeous and grateful for our unique hair and gave us tips on how to better manage and care for it. Our hair was in good hands and we feel so lucky to have been a part of this and hope to inspire women everywhere to embrace their inner beauty and express it outwardly with a gorgeous fresh look!"

They all do not really look happy. The one with the full bangs looks the least pleased.

While triplets are fairly rare, identical triplets are very rare. I think the world at large just loves to see all identical twins or triplets maintain their cute, joint identity as matching "bookends," etc.....but there is a human need for all individuals to be just that.....individual. I will admit that I enjoyed seeing them more as a "matched set," but I appreciate the big step they took to separate their identities in a way that was fun as well as rewarding. The styles they opted for only have to please them....individually.

They should have stayed with their beautiful natural hair color - they could have accomplished a differerance in the way they dressed. Sticking with their own style and favorite colors. I think the hair coloring is not a good choice for these young ladies - and I'm all for hair coloring - just wasn't needed in this case.
