Arizona Wildcats topple Utah Utes

LAS VEGAS – The Arizona Wildcats beat the Utah Utes for the third time this season, but unlike the first two meetings, the Utes were demolished. Wednesday's final score was 71-39.

University of Arizona die-hard fan Ben Rosenfield attended the game and said, "It was unreal. It was all U of A fans."

Passionate fans made the trip to support their team, and fuel its relentless defense that has gotten the Wildcats to this point. The Utes were held to a sorry 39 points, and came from a 25 percent shooting day on 12 made field goals.

The Wildcats dominance didn't stop with its defense. Pac-12 player of the year guard Nick Johnson showed why he earned that award with his 14 points and three assists. Guard T.J. McConnell also had a field day with 13 points.

The Wildcats freshmen forwards also had quite a debut. Pac-12 freshman of the year forward Aaron Gordon put up 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had a well-rounded game with seven points and eight rebounds.

The Wildcats had three losses this season and all three came from Pac-12 teams; after a performance like today, Sean Miller's Wildcats don't look like they plan on losing again, especially to a conference opponent.
