Lemur snaps selfie at London zoo

Lemur Snaps Selfie at London Zoo
A playful lemur at the ZSL London Zoo decided it needed to try out the selfie trend ... and the pictures came out pretty darn good.

The 12-year-old ring tailed lemur grabbed the camera out of a zoo worker's hand and started snapping.

People are so amused by the shots that they got #lemurselfie trending on Twitter.

WPTV reports that the lemur named Bekily grabbed the camera during feeding time. No training required, apparently.

We probably couldn't have done it better ourselves!

That second photo is awesome. It reminds me of Sacha Baron Cohen.

Why don't we just start GIVING them cameras instead of making them steal them?
Because then it wouldn't be hilarious.
Every animal in the zoo that had opposable thumbs or a prehensile tail would be snapping selfies.
It would stop being funny.

It's probably because they don't speak a known language and cannot read our books that we (humans) consider them to be 'below' us.

Of course, WE know NOTHING of their thought processes. If they react badly to things WE like, THEY ARE VICIOUS! They must be TAMED and CONTROLLED or DESTROYED.
