Row NYC; Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket; Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Odessa: 3 New Hotel Openings
New York City, New York: Row NYC
The Milford Plaza re-opened as the 1,331-room Row NYC earlier this month after a two-year, $140 million overhaul. In addition to a much hipper name, the Times Square hotel's common areas were redesigned, most notably the two-story lobby with its illuminated grand stair care and umbrella-like ceiling. The hotel's District M lobby bar and restaurant serves Neapoltiian-style pizzas, charcuterie and cheese from Murray's cheese shop underneath a digital art gallery by paparazzo Ron Galella. Galella's work also appears in some of Row NYC's suites. According to HotelChatter, rates start at $279.
Lincoln, Nebraska: Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket
If Woody Grant had just waited to head to Lincoln, Nebraska, he could have stayed at the Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket, which opened Feb. 27. Geared towards business travelers and families (so, sorry frat bros heading to Nebraska for spring break), WiFi and breakfast are included with a stay in one of its 108 guest rooms or three suites. The hotel is an eight-minute drive from the airport, two blocks from the Amtrak station and smack dab in the middle of the city's historic Haymarket district. Rates start at around $142 a night.
Odessa, Ukraine: Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Odessa
Hotel Bristol, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Odessa opened last month in Ukraine's third largest city. Located in the city's center, it's within blocks of The Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater, the Odessa Philharmonic Theater and the Odessa Literary Museum. The rooms feature city views and balconies. Rates start at around 105€ ($142)
