Battlefield 4's Carrier Assault Mode Explained

We already know Battlefield 4's next expansion, Naval Strike, will have a Carrier Assault mode that pays homage to Battlefield 2142's popular Titan game mode. Until today though, we didn't know exactly how it would work. Thankfully, DICE has shed some light on the upcoming mode, explaining the finer details of it and how to play.

"Carrier Assault is an homage to the Titan game mode of Battlefield 2142, but this time the all-out war rages in the South Chinese Sea, and your objective is to destroy the enemy team's carrier before they infiltrate and destroy yours," DICE said. "Our goal has been to make Carrier Assault a really engaging game mode, and we truly believe the amount of variety present each round will assure this. You start out fighting a big-scale war with sea, land, and air vehicles controlling the map, and then everything evolves into an infantry-focused, close quarter fight inside both carriers at the same time!"

Okay, so like the Titan Mode, your goal is to simply destroy the enemy team's carrier. There are two ways in which you can do so: Obtain full map control or assault the carrier as infantry.
