Young fan distraught over Callahan trade

This may be the most depressing video you'll watch all day. Young Ryan Hickey of Breezy Point, N.Y., was so distraught after hearing the Rangers traded their captain, Ryan Callahan, to the Lightning that he proceeded to cry as his mother prodded the meltdown. Watch it here:

The trade makes sense for a number of reasons. 1) St. Louis is heads above Callahan as a player. Although I hated to see Callahan go, the Rangers were not going to give him the kind of money he was asking for. 2) St. Louis is signed through next year and cheaper than what Callahan wanted at 5.625 for next year the balance of 5 mill to be paid this year which is very small maybe 1/4 of his salary. Callahan was a free agent at the end of this year. We'll see what cap room the Rangers have who knows he might be back.

If the kid's a Rangers fan he needs to get used to disappointment. Might as well do it while he's young.

What everyone is failing to realize is that little boy is so young, of course he's going to be upset about something he cares a lot about. If he wanted to watch TV and was told no he would probably get upset, that doesn't mean TV is the most important thing in his life he just likes it. Everyone bashing the parents saying that they're drilling hockey into his head just sound dumb. Everyone reacts differently to different things.

MOST DISTURBING PART IS HIS MOTHER HAVING THE " NEED" TO SEND THAT VIDEO TO ESPN FOR PUBLICITY.
