Salvation Army volunteer receives incredible ambush makeover

Salvation Army Volunteer Receives Incredible Ambush Makeover

With little time for herself, Joan Soto, 58, works full-time and volunteers at the Salvation Army and was in much need of a makeover.

The ambush makeover team on 'Kathie Lee & Hoda' changed that by chopping off and dying Soto's gray locks. Soto thought she looked great and her friends were as excited about her new look.

Soto wasn't the only one who received a makeover. 'Kathie Lee & Hoda' ambushed another Salvation Army volunteer, calling both participants 'special ladies.'

What I want to know is, why don't I have the video, and I'm stupidly paying for aol just to get the article and no video, and no it's not my computer.

It's a nice start. I would have put more of an auburn tint to her hair and given her a layered bob. I think the dress would have been more flattering if it didn't have that black band. As far as comments about her teeth: They really aren't bad. Dental work ( implants, veneers ) are expensive, but they now have those "snap-on smile" teeth that are affordable and look beautiful. Two visits to the dentist, no pain and it's done.

It was a very quick video of this woman's make over but I thought she looked great! I love the hairstyle...it's the look I try to get but it doesn't look as good as hers. As far as her teeth, I'm a dental assistant and if one doesn't have insurance, dental treatment is very pricey! At least she has her own teeth! I think this make over had a positive effect on this woman.

Nice to see a woman who lives a real life getting some practical makeup and hairstyle assistance that she can use going forward. But the foundation was basically good anyway.
