Some Hot Pockets Recalled After Improper Meat Inspections

If you were planning on heating up a Hot Pocket for lunch today, you might want to throw it in the trash instead.

"Thousands of packages of Hot Pockets are recalled because of improper meat inspection." (Via KDKA)

"Some of that meat was apparently used to make the Philly Steak and Cheese and Croissant Crust Philly Steak and Cheese Hot Pockets." (Via WTTE)

This is coming from a recall on meat out of the Rancho Feeding Corporation in California. Nestle is voluntarily recalling its Hot Pockets because they did use some of the company's meat. (Via USDA)

The USDA says the company processed "diseased and unsound animals" and is recalling 8.7 million pounds of meat. Luckily no illnesses have been reported as of yet, but all this is suddenly making comedian Jim Gaffigan look strangely psychic.

Yeah, so Hot Pockets - not so hot. Somebody might need to let Kate Upton know. And we thought the only thing we had to worry about was burning the roof of our mouth.
