America suffering from clown shortage

America Suffering from Clown Shortage

It might make you laugh, but this story is no joke. "Fox & Friends" reports the U.S. is suffering from ... a clown shortage.

'Over the past 10 years there has been a drastic decrease in membership at the country's biggest clown organization,' "Fox & Friends" explains.

Say it ain't so! According to the World Clown Association, the country's largest organization of its kind, membership has fallen from 3,500 to 2,500 clowns in the past decade.

KCTV says the reason is rather sad: they're actually dying off.

'As older clowns die, there aren't enough younger clowns enrolling into clown school to take their place. But it looks like so much fun,' KCTV reports.

The association president told New York Daily News, 'What happens is they go on to high school and college and clowning isn't cool anymore. Clowning is then put on the back burner until their late 40s and early 50s.'

So, bad news for those of you planning a birthday party.

For sure both the Congress and Senate have way more than their share. They are the ones that did not graduate from Clown School.

I went for a one day trip to circus circus reno, the most amazing thing to me was the big clown that lights up this little city and turns and turns.

There's no shortage.
It's just that they have all moved to Washington DC.

I'm not surprised. First, people make fun of clowns or rather they make fun of people who choose being a clown as a living. Next, for people like me, we find clowns somewhat creepy. I'm not surprised that not many people don't choose this "career" any longer. Let's face it, kids don't run away and "join the circus" anymore like they did years ago, now, you're lucky if you even know of a circus and most kids have never even been to one let alone look at it as an escape or a fun thing to do. Most kids today run away because they're being abused or neglected at home. They run away because of drug and/or alcohol addiction. It's not the "movie version" of Toby Tyler who ran away to join the circus. We would be so lucky today if kids DID run away to be clowns at the circus, it would be much better than why they run away now.

We are running out of people who actually want to work. Under this current regime it has become much more profitable and acceptable to sponge off of the poor souls still hitting the line every morning.

Funny though how unemployment is dropping steadily, and the only people "sponging" are the red states. The top 10 states that take government "handouts" are ALL RED STATES....not to mention, the reason folks needeed to sign up for more help is DIRECTLY related to the Bush recession....c'mon, this aint that hard to grasp, less you are a knuckle dragging tea bagger I guess.

Not enough clowns? You have got to be serious..... Just think of the fertile fields of Washington D.C. We have enough clowns in Congress, The Executive, and Judicial to eternally fulfil any present and future needs for new Bozos

You got that right……. there are clowns of all kinds everywhere you look now-a-days…. they just don’t dress like clowns…….. must be an image thing,….. they think we don’t see the clown inside……
