The trend report: Stripes are always a good idea
By A Piece of Toast
Sally posted some sentiments about stripes last week in this post and I have to mimic her feelings completely...the pattern is classic but basic enough to wear on the reg and great for a neutral-lover like me. But, since I do consider stripes a "print" I generally try not to splurge on striped pieces-Old Navy has a huge selection of nautical-inspired striped tops and sweaters right now and I couldn't resist a sweater with contrasting navy and tomato-red stripes. The perfect amount of color, I love the weight of the knit along with the fit (both of which are on par with stripe masters like Saint James). Best part? This kind of sweater is going to get some year-round loving from me...picturing it with jean shorts when it starts to warm up. AND, in other Old Navy news, that great camo surplus jacket everyone was crazy for last year is back-get yours before they sell out like hot cakes!
