It's spring somewhere; MLB camps open

While the eastern U.S. shovels out from yet another snowstorm, they're breaking out the bats and balls in Florida and Arizona. All 30 Major League Baseball teams will have opened spring training camp by the time the weekend is over.

Here is a look at the action as baseball's annual rite of spring gets underway.

I hate to say it, but it's not exactly "hot" here in central Florida either. Maybe next week.

It was 85F and cloudless here in Phoenix yesterday, and it could hit 89-90F today.

However, there's a price for the great winter weather.

And that means an occasional 115F--or hotter-- in June.

pfc587 - Is that all you can say, "yay!"?? Don't you want to contribute any comments about the boys of summer?? Football season is done, Basketball is about to finish, we are in the middle of the world's Olympic competitions, which is about to end as well. The baseball season is about ready to spring out and all you can say is "yay!" Come on, Man!
