Boston bombing survivor surprises husband with Valentine's flash mob

Boston Bombing Survivor Surprises Husband with Valentine's Flash Mob

For Valentine's Day, a woman who was injured in last year's Boston Marathon bombings wanted to do something special for her husband Patrick Downes who was also hurt in the blasts.

"CBS This Morning" reports that Jessica Kensky surprised her husband with a flash mob made up of people involved in their recovery from the attack. According to The Boston Globe, Kensky's husband thought they were going to film a video about a service dog, but when they arrived, the flash mob was in full force.

Kensky told WBZ-TV why the flash mob was especially meaningful: 'The special part for me was all the familiar faces through the last 10 months who were part of our recovery, so to do something where we're all up and dancing and celebrating ... It's just really fun.'

What an amazing surprise - chances are she'll have a hard time topping that Valentine's Day present next year.

What a wonderful surprise! And to have all the personnel involved who were involved from the First Responders, doctors, nurses and therapist to be willing to participate to make someone's day. These people are TRUE HERO's!!!

I never knew what a flash mob was until now! What an awesome thing she did not just for her husband and herself, but the many others who are trying to heal from the physical and emotional havoc those 2 men have brought to their families, supporters, and themselves. So nice to see that these victims and families are not about to allow themselves to be a victory to their abusers.
