Sergeant TJ Musshorn came home to Connecticut and paid a visit to his local YMCA to surprise one special little man in his life.

Musshorn had been deployed in Afghanistan for nearly a year, and it's been especially hard on his 5-year-old son, Jackson.

WFSB says every time little Jackson would go the to local YMCA, he'd pass around a photo of his father. Now, he has a lot more than a photo.

As Jackson was playing with his pals, he was blindfolded as part of a game. When the blindfold came off, he was looking right at his beloved dad.

WBNS reporters said they don't think little Jackson knew what was coming.

'Jack's dad says using Skype makes being away a little more bearable, but he's been counting down the days to get home,' WBNS reported.

'The army trains your mission first but family is always in the back of your mind,' TJ explained.

While TJ was busy surprising his son, TJ's wife was in the background holding their 11-month-old daughter, Priscilla. TJ said he's looking forward to spending time with his family.
