Hundreds of people made sure one 13-year-old girl in Utah received a warm welcome home for what sadly might be her last time.

'Jayci Glover was diagnosed with a rare kind of terminal lymphoma about a year ago and she's been getting treatment at a hospital five hours away,' HLN reported.

Jayci's mom Heather opened up in her CaringBridge journal February 6th, writing:

'We know that we cannot catch up to Jaycis (sic) disease let alone contain it. It is taking over her body at a rapid pace. Make no mistake, Jayci has won her battle with cancer. Jayci has cancer, cancer does not now and never will have Jayci.'

On February 7th, Jayci and her family headed home, but doctors warned she might not make it through the five-hour trip. KSL-TV caught up with her parents at their daughter's homecoming.

'It's time to come home and have some fun,' her mom said sadly.

'I tried to wave and smile, but everyone was crying. There's a lot of people,' Jayci said.

According to KTVX, young Jayci has inspired an entire community.

'Jayci's strength during this fight has made people of her hometown take up the moniker 'Fight Like Jayci.'
