Former radio host fired after estranged husband threatens company

Radio Host Fired After Estranged Husband Threatens Company

A popular radio host in Pennsylvania is making headlines after she says her company fired her because of her dangerous estranged husband.

Nancy Lane was the well-known DJ on two Forever Broadcasting shows until she received a letter last Tuesday that explained recent events involving George Lucas Lane had caused 'severe disruption' to the business.

Nancy told reporters she left George last summer after he allegedly burned down their home in Portage. He has made headlines multiple times for threatening her, her family and her co-workers. Last year, Nancy says he even went as far as slashing tires of several company cars.

Forever Broadcasting has not commented on Lane's firing, but took action to dismiss her after George began threatening the company.

George is currently in jail for impersonating a police officer last month which is still under investigation. Nancy told WJAC she doesn't know what's next for her, but said her main priority is focusing on her children.

I f hubby burned down the family home, isn't that arson? If so , he should be in jail. Probably more to this story than what has been released.

I read it. He burned their house down last summer, but apparently they didn't put him in jail until he impersonated a police officer.

What is wrong with this picture?

and at what point were the police and the prosecutor's office going to do something with this lunatic? after he blew up the station or worse, murdered his wife. he should be held without bond in a psyco hospital in a straight jacket until his court appearance

"Nancy told reporters she left George last summer after he allegedly burned down their home in Portage. He has made headlines multiple times for threatening her, her family and her co-workers. Last year, Nancy says he even went as far as slashing tires of several company cars."

Then why wasn't the man in jail?

For some reason, Laws are not enforced.. Want an example look at DC...This woman cannot control another person..I understand the safety of the others, but honestly, this has happened and could happen in every single place of employment..Hope this good employee was given severence pay because she has done nothing wrong...She needs a lawyer..

Seems like the only people kept in jail today are drug users and porn downloaders!

Should we just wait until he kills her? Aren't there a few subtle and discreet members of the community that can deal with this SOB?

This is a classic illustration of a mentally disturbed individual being able to walk the streets until he finally acts on his threats. We see it every single day & unfortunately, law enforcement can't act until a criminal action has happened. It's a catch 22 where we value our individual freedoms but when a threat is apparent & there's evidence to back it up, a person needs to serve jail time for his defacto capacity to make good on those threats. Two yrs. minimum with psychological evaluations & strict probation terms upon release should be the minimum. This woman or company shouldn't have to suffer due to the obvious sickness of a deranged individual. This is a red flag waving for all to see..

Arson is a first degree felony. Why isn't he in jail for arson?

The real question here is why wasn't this guy in jail...PERMANENTLY! Everyone is being punished...the woman who has lost her job, the children whose mother now has no job and the business who has to choose between the woman and their other employees. Everyone except the person who SHOULD be paying the price. In situations like this, when it's very obvious this person is a menace to society in general they shouldn't be released to perpetuate their villainy.

I suspect he's one of the 'Silver Tongued' monsters that gets away with ANYTHING. He's the one who affects the puzzled look, and says, 'Who, ME?' when accused, and does it so well that he is believed. Not just once, but time after time. Those in authority believe him, no matter what anyone else says.
