These Are the Movie Quotes Everyone Gets Wrong

You might be surprised by how many popular movie quotes you're remembering just a bit wrong.

'The Wizard of Oz'
Though most people say 'Looks like we're not in Kansas anymore,' or 'Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore,' those quotes aren't quite right.

Dorothy actually says 'Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.'

'The Silence of the Lambs'
If you've always thought Hannibal Lecter greets Clarice by saying 'Hello, Clarice,' we've got news for you. It's actually 'Good evening, Clarice.' How polite!

'Field of Dreams'
That whispering voice? It's not quietly murmuring 'If you build it, they will come.' The correct quote is 'If you build it, he will come.'

'Wall Street'
Though Gordon Gekko definitely thinks greed is good, his quote is actually 'Greed, for lack of a better word, is good.'

'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'
The Queen says 'Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?' Most people think it's 'Mirror, mirror on the wall' ... and most people are incorrect.

'The Empire Strikes Back'
This might blow your mind, but when Vader reveals his true identity to Luke, he does not say 'Luke, I am your father.' He actually says 'No, I am your father.'

How many of these quotes have you been saying wrong? Don't worry, we won't judge.

The Darth Vader one makes sense because he is responding to Luke's comment. Vader mentions to Luke that Obiwan never told him about his father. Luke says, "He told me enough, he told me you killed him." to which Vader replies, "No, I am your father." But the one misquote I never see anywhere is from the first Star Wars. Obiwan never said, "May the force be with you." He had faith in the force and as opposed to a vague wish that the force would be with Luke, he made a confident statement of fact, and said, "The force will be with you, always."

If you're a fan of the movie "The Wizard of Oz," check out the new book "The Wizard of Oz: The Official 75th Anniversary Companion"! Lots of never-before-seen photos.

Doesn't anyone read anymore? In the original story Snow White by the Brothers Grimm the evil Queen does say "Mirror mirror..."

the only prov=blem with that is walt disney didn'tt use the orignal german folk tale when he made the movie.... he may have used either a french or italian translation of the tale.

And let's not forget..."Play it again, Sam." No one says that in Casablanca...The quote is "Play it, Sam."

I think there may have been a Star Wars video game with the voice of Vader saying it incorrectly. This may be the reason for the misconception.

The correct line is:
"Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?"

NOT :
"Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?"

So...
The title of Gregory Maguire's novel 'Mirror Mirror' is wrong.
The title of the movie 'Mirror, Mirror' is wrong.
The title of Carolyn Turgeon's novel 'The Fairest of Them All' is wrong.
The title of Serena Valentino's novel 'Fairest of All' is wrong. (a DISNEY book!)

Alice in Wonderland: Everyone says "We're all mad here," but the Cheshire Cat says "Most everyone's mad here."
