New shot helps women achieve orgasms

New Shot Helps Women Achieve Orgasms

'Good Morning America' reports that 50 million American women are having trouble between the sheets -- but a a new shot might be able to help.

'Good Morning America's ays that while men have 24 FDA approved medications for sexual dysfunction, women have a whopping zero.

Called the O-shot, the injection is filled with calcium-enriched platelets that are injected into the vagina to stimulate the growth of new cells.

One doctor says it's improved the sex lives of 85 percent of the 80 women to whom he has given the injection.

The inventor of the O-shot, Dr. Charles Runels, talked to WCMH about how it works: 'Remember when you scuffed your knee as a child and there's a scab there and that yellow goo there? That yellow goo is what caused the skin to regrow, and there's a way to make that in about 10 minutes while drawing your blood.'

Basically, once your blood is drawn, the platelets are injected with some calcium and form that yellow substance. It is then injected into the vagina to rejuvenate and create more cells.

Marcia, 64, said that after about 3 weeks of treatments, the results were like 'fireworks.'

'It has enhanced my response and my enjoyment more than I ever enjoyed it.'

As for safety, one urologist and expert in women's health issues told ABC News:

'Injecting growth factors into the genital tract of a woman has risks associated with it and the benefits have not been teased out.'

The shot costs roughly $1,500 and is not covered by insurance.

What do you think? Is that too much to spend, or is a satisfying sex life priceless?

Ok so I decided to have the "O" Shot in a couple of days, will let you know what happens. As a recent widow and new to the dating thing. My first boyfriend had a huge problem with the fact that I could not have the big "O" during sex, so he left. Now on 2nd boyfriend, he has asked why. Both men say I should concentrate more ,REALLY if it was that easy !!!!!!!!!!!!!. So I'm trying this for the first time.. Yes it will cost me but I really want this for us not just me. If he is worth it then go far it.... GOOD LUCK LADIES and GUYS if you really LOVE your woman then you would understand .

Sounds interesting -- after negatives are disclosed -- terrific. IF FDA doesn't approve and insurance plans refuse to cover -- WE ALL SHOULD learn to live without sex -- and our partners will HAVE TO DO THE SAME.

Again..."men" have found an embarrassing and painful way to "treat" women...at a huge cost and of course not covered by insurance. I get so tired of all this second class status from pay to medicine. We need more women researchers and doctors that treat women because they know what it is to be a women. We are made differently than men and thank God for that!!! Men have no idea what it is like to be a women, carry a child, deliver a child and then have problems. I will just say one more thing...needles in the vagina is NOT the answer...YIKES!!!

women have no idea what it`s like to get kicked in the groin..women have no idea what it takes to get that thing HARD for a man(sometimes to no avail)..All the woman has to do is open her legs --nothing hard about doing that...no needles in the vagina how about needles in the penis..You women cry about everything...Look at all the tv ads---breast cancer--ovarian cancer--diabetes-- heart problems skin problems-overactive bladder etc etc etc etc...- etc etc...There is way MORE research for womens problems then mens problems...As far as say viagara for men--it was a side affect of a drug for something else..Thats how(all by mistake too) viagara got to be used as it is...

Tony - Quit your whining about being kicked in the groin. Push a 10 lb. baby out of you after 36 hours of labor and then you have something to whine about. A woman's body is way more complex than a man's. And, Tony, let us not forget all the doctors who brushed off womens' pains and problems as nerves only to have those same women suffer from lack of proper care. I know - I was one whose doctor blamed everything on nerves and I almost died. So quit your whining and be a man.

Only Almighty God has the power to renew one's sexual erection or to heal one's sexual impotence.
Using other man-made items might only cause seriuos health problems sooner or later.
The use of herbal medicine is preferable, because Almighty God gave man herbs for healing the body.

So because older men get sex pills, women should feel the need to have a needle injected into their privates - not once, but twice?

If terrorists wanted a decent target, they'd target those drug companies that feel the need to not let humans grow old gracefully surrendering the stupidity of over-sexualized lives of their youth.

I think that it's disgraceful that the proliferation of ED meds are available through insurance, Medicare and even through the VA, but help for women with similar problems is discarded, disapproved and denied. It's all part of the severely psychotic mindset of this country that is so terribly set against anything a woman might find beneficial, helpful or (God forbid) pleasurable.

show us where any meds are refused for women--how about birth control ? you don`t see any pills for that for the men...Another cry baby woman that thinks the whole country is against them..My aunt used to say--the squeeky wheel gets the oil---- squeek-squeek-squeek---Your the most spoiled group in the world..The more you squeek the more oil you get..SPOILED

With all the options out there for men, I feel this is something that is great for women. I do feel if a woman has insurance, it should be covered. It would be more comforting if this option came in a pill form, as do men's options, rather a shot in the vagina!

Mary---some men have to have the shot in the penis too...You forget the male body part is totally relying on blood supply to it--something that finally can be addressed..Your a woman--what is the cause of a woman`s problem...Enlighten us all with your female knowledge...

There's one doctor who advertises on the local news station who makes custom meds for men with ED. I hate that ad.

why do you hate that?? Theres a totally different physical(and mental) cause for male problems..it`s one thing that can be helped...Women have a totally different body type for sex--They don`t have to get it hard..Sure women have problems but it isn`t as easily treated..Give them time and something will become available...I guess research and treatment for all the other women problems should be stopped and all the power of research should be directed to women`s climaxes..Stop the research for breast cancer-ovarian cancer-heart disease-diabetes-and all the other problems the women`s bodies have...
