Kate Middleton is an author! The Duchess writes foreword for a new book
Prince William may have left the RAF last October to focus on raising George with the Duchess, but Kate comes from an airborne family, which includes: her grandfather who was a pilot, her father who was an airport dispatcher, and her mother who worked as a stewardess. Kate, who attended St. Andrew's University in Scotland isn't the first Middleton to be published: her sister Pippa wrote a book titled 'Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends' about entertaining.
The book, which is scheduled to come out in May will donate the profits to the Royal Air Forces Association and RAF Benevolent Fund. According to the book's press release: "These women reveal, in their authentic voices and colorful portraits, what life as an RAF wife is really like. When a whole family can be required to up-sticks and move with almost no notice, when rank pulls favor even at home, and when things go comically wrong during a royal visit."
The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have been busy lately -- Kate vacationing internationally with little Prince George in the Caribbean island of Mustique and William taking classes at Cambridge University -- and now are planning their first public trip to Australia on behalf of the Queen. We still don't know if Prince George will be traveling with the royal family, but we can only hope to get a peek at the (not so little) Prince who is now 6 months old.
