Did 'Biggest Loser' Rachel Frederickson lose too much weight?

"The Biggest Loser" crowned its latest champion on the season 15 finale -- and it all came down to Rachel Frederickson vs. David Brown.

Yep, 24-year-old Rachel lost an amazing 155 lbs. since starting the show. That's almost 60 percent of her body weight: she went from 260 lbs. to 105. But she gained $250,000 in prize money.

The 'Today' show blog notes Rachel's win was record-breaking -- she lost a higher percentage of weight than any other contestant in the history of the show.

And while fans were excited for her big win -- some bloggers were concerned that Rachel dropped too much weight. EW said she looked "skinny-skinny," even by Hollywood standards.

BuddyTV was concerned, too: "Rachel has been such an inspiration and athlete all season. As soon as she is revealed, I can't help but think she looks way too thin, right? I don't know ... she just seems to have taken her competitive nature way too far."

And E! found that at 5'4", Rachel was underweight. According to Weight Watchers, the healthy weight range for Rachel's height is between 117 lbs. and 146.

I think she did lose too much weight. Maybe she pushed it too far for the money. I think she would look perfect if she gained about 20 back.

She does not look 24 anymore. She looks like she is in her mid-late 30's Her face creased in strange ways when she smiles and her eyes have crows feet. Shes way too young for that. Her features will fill out and soften if she were to go back up to at least the 125+ pound range.

sorry but she does not look underweight for me o.o she looks in perfect weight, i haven't seen this show but the fact she lost this amount of weight is surprising and amazing, i could never think this women was so overweight in her life, you people are probably envy, I'm sorry, this is a very ugly truth, most people are really unable to feel happy for others, funny fact is that most of your "rolemodels" are "underweight" LOL, her IMC is 17(I checked) while these hollyword artists have 15,16 imcs and i don't see people calling them underweight

I say there should be a winner for the females and a winner the the males. Makes total sense and don't know why they haven't done this before. Maybe then they can all make healthier choices.

She won! Yeah! for Rachel. If she has lost too much weight then she should be advised to see her doctor, but that is her choice. Everyone is responsible for taking care of themselves and if the coaches feel she needs more helpful instruction then they should offer it. I thought those who were sent home to work on their own had periodic comminication with the coaches as they were still in the game??? I think some people are envious of Rachel's $250,000 win. It just shows that she was serious and wanted to lose the weight for herself and be the Biggest Loser and win some money... So stop judging Rachel for her success...

The problem is they need to separate the women and the men. The women have to lose way to much weight because they store more fat then men and men shed faster than women. It's a contest and she had to do it to win. As unhealthy as it my be it was necessary to win the challenge. They only way to avoid this in the future before someone really gets hurt is to have money for both sexes!

I am PROUD of her. She got it off! Good job! It will take a little fine tuning for her to find her healthy weight. So, stop picking on her. Maintaining health is harder for some of us. She's an inspiration.

She was so gorgeous during the makeover week. I hope she only lost the additional weight for the prize money but plans to going back to athletic not thin. Her body is meant to look like a swimmer, not a twig!

WOW!!!!! people are absolutely unbelievable. This woman was ridiculed, picked on, put down & made fun off because she was over weight. Now that she has done an outstanding job at getting herself healthy you still have NOTHING nice to say. " she's to skinny, she starved herself just for the money, she look anorexic, blah , blah, blah. If anyone of you have been through the weight loss that she has they would know that it is the hardest thing you will ever do. I work in a gym & I see this everyday & to do what she has done in the time span she has done it in it is more than an amazing accomplishment. you should be ashamed of yourself cause I doubt YOU could do it. Congrats to anyone who has the strength to get there health back & there lives together. It could be 5lbs or 155lbs. You should be proud.!!!!

All what you say is correct, however being a fan of biggest loser I was absolutely stunned when I saw Rachel which I don't consider picking on her it's called giving an honest opinion, she looked and behaved ill as if she had low electrolytes, so before bashing everyone as if they are making fun of her I think a lot of people were truly concerned I know I was.

Concerned for her health!! Not bashing........If you work in a gym....you should know what the proper weight is for someone of her height and stature....Wish her health and happiness.
