Plumber impressively surfs 80-foot wave

Plumber Impressively Surfs 80-Foot Wave
Andrew Cotton has a way with water. He doubles as a plumber and a professional surfer - and he's hoping to set a new world record as the latter.

The 34-year-old surfed a massive wave off the coast of Portugal, and it might have just broken the Guinness world record for the biggest wave ever surfed -- a record he himself set three months ago.

Cotton will find out if he broke his own record in March. Though he eventually fell off the 80-foot wave, he was completely fine.

I could fall off an 80 foot wave too. But seriously folks, how do they measure the height of a wave, or is it a close approximation made by experienced surfers by eye from the shore? I guess there's a device that they have to have set up if they know the surf is going to be really big for it to be an "official" measurement.

He should save his strength...beating his own record seems pessimistic.
