JCPenney garners a lot of attention for 'tweeting with mittens'

"One too many drinks at the Super Bowl party?" It was the question on many minds last night as JCPenney's Twitter account took a turn for the... um harder to read. We weren't sure if it was a mistake or simply an attention-grabbing scheme, but it sure was funny.

And it didn't stop there. A few other brands decided to get in on the action, including Doritos, Snickers and Kia. Check out their perfectly on-point reactions below:

But it seems that JCPenney had an explanation all long. Tweeting with Team USA mittens on. Yes, they even used the hashtag #TweetingWithMittens. Hmm... what do you think? Weird. Funny, but weird.

But seriously, #neverforget. Don't drink and tweet.
