Peyton Manning is the best quarterback ever ........ period. No way can anyone take that away from him. Tom Brady is #2. Even if Peyton loses today (the only way is if he gets hurt), he is the best in my book. He plays the game so well and so professionally all inclusive with his teammates (just like Brady does) and that is how they win. No discussion will ever change my mind. He is the best and always will be.

Listen , no one should judge a quarterback's success by how many Superbowls he has won . Case in point......up until the last two years of his career , John Elway had to carry the whole team by himself with no help . No offensive line to protect him and receivers not getting open to throw to . But somehow he ran for his life and threaded passes to receivers who were not in the best positions . When the Broncos finally acquired Terrel Davis , suddenly there was relief and Elway wasn't the ONLY guy on the offense . But Bradshaw , Young , and Staubach should not be in this conversation . Montana and Young had Jerry Rice which speaks for itself . Elway had nothing much like Marino had nothing . Peyton is in a class by himself (period)

The "best" is so subjective! Here are 10 QB's who have been considered the best ever at times and during their hey day. They are: Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Johnny Unitas, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Steve Young, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, and Roger Staubach. See: http://www.mensfitness.com/training/pro-tips/top-10-quarterbacks-of-all-time

THEY cant think to much of him if they want to put the whole thing on this one game ??? or are they from the other side and trying to put what ever preasure they can on him and the broncos ? that being said , what if he plays a great personal game and some of his team mates dont step up ?? or he has a crapp game and his team steps up big time with some realy great play ? SOMETHING DOESNT SOUND RIGHT WITH THIS ONE GAME , HE IS THE BEST OR NOT ? DAN MARINO never won a superbowl ? but he was a great quarterback ? so is brady ? and others have done some great things ? its so much more than just wins and losses , because of " TEAM " dynamics , ? but with that all said , i think manning is one of the great quarterbacks .

I think the title of "The greatest quarterback" is too subjective to be definable.
I do know if my life depended on the outcome of one game there is only one quarterbacks I would pick and that is Joe Montana.

I loved Joe when he was playing, a smart guy. An earlier quarterback from a similar mold, Len Dawson, the quarterback that played in SB I, and won SB IV which sealed the league merger deal.
The thing about those guys, neither had such strong arms.
I believe Manning's current success is a farce. Is the Broncos line that good? I think not. The league is keeping Manning from taking hits if in no other way, allowing some holding to go unpunished.
Without the special rules that give the quarterback extra protection in the game today, Manning might not even be playing with his congenital neck defect, and the related surgery.
Memories are short. How can you compare today's quarterbacks to the likes of Johnny Unitas, or Y.A. Tittle. Both those guys were talented and tough.
In any case, the NFL today is commercial garbage. How can you people that go to these games tolerate watching the players stand around in the middle of the field with their thumb's up their (nose) while the referee waits to be buzzed to let him know the TV commercial's over.
I'm kind of hoping the game will go into overtime, and that there's a special broadcast of "Heidi" scheduled,
or a re-run of "Murder She Wrote" for that matter.
The repercussions of that would have a lot more long range entertainment value than the game ever could.
So I'm tired of Manning, and am especially tired of "Papa John's" which I'll never buy again, and him telling me I don't know how to call for my car.
when, with all that beer, and over-rich food, you will naturally utter
