There are so many different opinions and feelings posted here. Some with hostility and anger and others simply stating their beliefs. My feeling on the matter of homosexuality is that everyone has the right to love whomever they choose. My wife and I have a variety of friends and see the same relationship issues and elations with our Gay friends as we do our Heterosexual friends. The hatred spewed by the intolerance of those that hate gays and the same spewed by the gays who demand all people accept and embrace their lifestyle is ludicrous. Unless the lifestyle decisions made by someone directly affects you, what do you care how they feel?? When I was in the Navy I was given the best advice ever by a salty CPO. "If a person does not control your work schedule, your amount of pay or the amount of sex you have then their opinion of you means nothing."

WOW, in many of the posts above, we see that hatred, bigotry & prejudice still exist in 2014. There are millions of gay people in the world. In the past they have been mute; they are mute no more. Why would someone choose to be gay? To be discriminated against, ridiculed by friends & co-workers, rejected by their family, told they are going to hell by the church, subjected to beatings by gay bashers, etc. There will be cases where people experiment with same sex encounters, but you can't teach people to be gay or not gay for a lifetime. For those that state being gay is a choice, does that mean at one point in your own lives, you too had feelings for the same sex, but decided to be straight instead? Thus every single person in the world must come to this same point in their lives, then make the choice like gay people did?

People are straight because that is the way we were created. That's why being straight is not a decision. Your reasoning is ridiculous. Romans explains how people become gay: 21 "Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[c] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[d] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Your swirl through bible-study class is focused on centuries old thought and teachings when education and free societies were basically restricted to biased knowledge conjured up with no clue to individual freedoms. You are free to live by the bible and your freedom of speech will never be denied. What will be denied is your outdated philosophy reflecting on today's society and the inroads to equality it has established .

Do you give the same advise to gays who troll religious articles and post their hateful comments?

I'm a Christian and a pastor with the United Church of Christ, and I'm not a "hater." In fact, the UCC has been a trailblazing advocate for the LGBT community and thus by extension for everyone - because we all benefit when the celebration of human dignity and love rules the day. Please don't fall prey to answering hypocrisy and hate with your own hypocrisy and hate. When you condemn all Christians and all Christianity because of a bunch of bullies and loudmouths you just contribute to the problem! Don't be so lazy. Learn what's really going on in the Christian community.

What you see is not always what you get. There is a helluva lot more to Lada Gaga than meets the eye. If your problem is that she is an advocate for gay rights, then don't bother with the link below. However, if your problem is that you think there's nothing more to her than what you see by the way she dresses, etc. then, IMO, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

If homosexuality is so accepted, as the homosexual community wants heterosexual people to believe, then why do they have to have their own special little events? Maybe that acceptance thing is highly exaggerated.

Dallas Buyers Club is one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Both actors did an excellent job!
