Court begins deliberations in 3rd Knox trial

Italy Knox
FLORENCE, Italy (AP) - A Florence appeals court has begun deliberations in the murder trial of U.S. student Amanda Knox in the absence of the star defendant.

The court entered chambers at 10:15 Thursday morning, with the last round of rebuttals by Knox's defense team closing four months of arguments in the third trial for the brutal 2007 murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher.

Knox's lawyer Carlo Dalla Vedova told the court he is "serene" about the verdict because he believes the only conclusion from the case files is "the innocence of Amanda Knox."

While Knox awaited the verdict half-world away in her hometown of Seattle, her co-defendant and ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, was in court.

A verdict is expected later Thursday.

And I thought the courst system in lame duck country (especially with the clown now running the show) was about as bad as it gets, but these idiots have proven me wrong !!

I totally disagree about the fliping off and teeling them to bite me business. That will get you into trouble .Especially in a another country.

Sute makes a person question if it is a good idea to go to a foriegn country for a vacation. The justice system in the US is bad enough with the police being allowed to lie to you but if you do it you go to jail for obstruction of justice, prosecutors hiding evidence, police making up evidence, but outside the US it is just scary.

you are right absolutely!! they do lie all the time and make up a lot of lies and crap. they also hide the real evidence and produce there own made up and self created evidence ..they manufacture **** just to put your ass in jail so that they can get a big PAY raise or a bonus and put another notch in there belt. the prosecuters LIE all the time and we get screwed

Have Your Say...Innocent or guilty... That will be the ultimate question? However i think at this point there is no way for justice to be done.... There is no way that it would be after three trials! It's hard to know what is truth and what is fiction since it appears that both side seem to be able to twist the existing evidence after each trial. God is not mocked... Let her live her life and let God be the ultimate judge.

I think this is just awful, she was already found innocent. The person who did the actual murder is in jail. I hope there is no extradition in Italy, she was in jail for years , has served time for a crime she did not do.

Without actually being there, in the apartment that night, how do you know she wasn't involved?

this is pointless
if she is innocent she is innocent but they haven't found anything new so it is pointless

Not connect with Facebook, connect to Facebook through a mobile phone! I tried going in through Facebook and it wouldn't let me so I emailed them and they told me it has to be through a mobile phone. Guess they just don't want comments on their shoddy stories.
